Social Events 2012
There is a new team in place to promote the social activities of the Club. The emphasis will be on the gaining of new members as well as romoting a variety of social and family events. You are needed to make this a success.
Your Social Committee for this year is – Nigel Chapman – Chris Hill – Norman Winford – Dave Nelson and they are going to arrange a variety of events to suit members, their families and their friends. They will be developing their own ideas but would like to hear from you on what you would like to see and also how you might volunteer to help run events. The Club is currently open most evenings from 4pm to 5.45pm (times may vary according to the opening times offered by the voluntary bar staff – contact Dave Bourne if you wish to check on a particular day).
FRIDAY EVENINGS
Friday night social evenings – the Club will now be open from 7.45pm till 11.00 for a chat and ‘ Hot Dogs ‘ every Friday evening. This will run right up to the ‘Get Together Day’ on April 14th and hopefully on into the season.
RACE NIGHT – Sat 25th February
There will be a RACE NIGHT on Saturday 25th February for all of the Family and Friends. The usual Race format will be in place so bring your money and lots of friends. There will be a fish and Chip supper served during the evening. Full details to be finalised but please block your diaries. Ticket prices have been set at free entry - Fish & Chips £5.
MAD MARCH HARE EVENING 24th March
To continue the theme of family entertainment, there will be a fun evening on Saturday 24th March. Final details are still being arranged and full details will go onto the Club Board shortly.
(Pre) St George’s Day Lunchtime – Sun’ 22nd April
We are planning a pre St. George’s Day Lunch Party on Sunday 22nd April followed by the celebration of St. George’s Day on the 23rd. If anyone has any ideas as to the style of the event – Please let the Social Committee of Nigel Chapman, Chris Hill, Norman Winford or Dave Nelson know.
QUIZ NIGHTS – 1st Saturday of each month
The ‘Quiz Night’ will continue (until and including 7th April) as usual AND WE HOPE TO SEE MORE OF YOU THERE. Do not worry if you feel you are not a ‘Quizzy ‘person. The questions have been devised to suit all tastes and subjects. The Prizes are great!! Fun for all the family. A special children’s quiz is also included.
